Tech support helps young people in India

24 August 2018

We’re helping disadvantaged young people in the poorer areas of New Delhi get access to education and technology.

We hosted a meeting at our offices in New Delhi to meet members of ASHA, a non-governmental organisation that helps slum residents with access to healthcare, financial services and education.

We’ll provide mentoring support to ASHA and we’ve donated 50 repurposed laptops for use by ASHA students as they enter into higher education.

Sudhir Narang, BT Country Manager in India says: “We’re delighted to be involved with ASHA in this way. This intersects firmly with our interests in education, IT and community engagement wherever we operate.”

Founded in 1988, ASHA helps 700,000 people in more than 91 slum colonies in Delhi with its work.
